I found your comment waiting in moderation, Mr. Lee. :-) Commercial Design, it is then. All of this is huge change and the other plan that you helped launch is turning out to be a wonderful decision so life is going well and I am so excited for this 2010 year. My clients have been outstanding this year and I look forward to working with many more since I will be focused on the career industry and not torn in two. Come home soon and visit!

This is pretty big change for you but at least you know im still going to come back and visit you even when dan and tim are gone. And we'll get to your kitchen eventually, i know ive said that plenty of times but i mean it. I have some pretty big changes goin on with me too but I'll tell you about those later (if your lucky). Talk to you soon.

Thanks, Barbara, I appreciate your feedback and totally agree about silver linings. Many clients don't get that initially but if you see them a few months after or even later as a returning client, they will often agree that they were blessed by what seemed like a horrible thing at first.

I love grocery shopping myself but just find that it is one more thing to try to fit in, so when he does it, it blesses me. He knows what goes fastest, knows what needs to be standard (like 3 containers of mushrooms) and is innovative enough to try new things. Being a great cook, helps him enjoy the shopping part.

Julie,

I think that's the silver lining of job loss....that it is one of the few times when we step off the work treadmill and reflect on the intersection between our skills and our passions.

And for the record, I'd give my left arm for a son who grocery shops!
