I do know for MS Works that when you open a document that has been saved as Word, it &quot;converts&quot; it to MS Works. It&#039;s possible that OpenOffice does that, too, but I don&#039;t remember off the top of my head (it&#039;s been a while since I used it).

The MS Works solution is a possible but I think the formatting is at a very different level. Most of the time, my clients are trying to open one of my resumes in Works and wonder where all the formatting went to and why it looks totally different.</description>
