Sunday, for me, means worship. My church is blessed right now with an abundance of talent and enthusiasm.
This morning, PS 150, our praise band was getting the first song on the way. “Better is One Day” by Chris Tomlin.
It’s the kind of song that you want to be standing and singing but the congregation hadn’t been given the instructions yet.
Sitting next to me was Amanda, home from college, and I saw her eyes twinkling as she asked her family if they shouldn’t be standing. Made sense to me, so I nodded.
We were in the middle of the church, the band could see us but the people in front couldn’t — and so we stood… I could feel the people beginning to rise all around us and then it continued behind us and soon the people in front were standing too. A whole congregation rose on the actions of just a few.

We created a chain reaction… and soon everyone was smiling, standing, and singing, and it felt so good.
All it took was a small group of people and soon everyone was on board. When you know that there is a great idea and it should be shared, are you daring enough to create a chain reaction? Everyone around you is probably wishing someone would…
I don’t know if I have ever taken anything like Cesar’s photo. I do know how it was done. His use of depth of field makes the picture work in getting those droplets. Use of a macro-lens and patience do the rest.
There’s a chain reaction going on here… I’m also impressed with Cesar’s photo. Makes me want to explore my camera more.

This is for both you and Reeta… if you click on the photo, you will go to his Flicker page, I believe he really loves water drops, he talks about them on the page. It made me want to go find some… I can take pictures of water drops.
