How to find the right orientation in the sea of job search
Getting a grip on the right orientation in the sea of job search confusion can be a huge challenge. You need a compass to help you gain the right orientation.
What needs to change to get the right orientation?
Job seekers aren’t just seeking a job. Often, the job seeker is seeking a way to own the future. When you are seeking a sense of direction or a way to find your bearings, a compass is a big help. You need to see the bigger picture and understand the full challenge ahead of you.
Sometimes people think of a job as just a chance to earn an income and pay the bills. The reality is that most people are looking for more than that. They seek a sense of fulfillment that comes from their specific needs.
Seek the right direction for your work
Some people innately know what they want to do and some people stay in the same career all of their lives and love it. However, I know many people who landed in roles that they either hated from the start or grew to hate.
Some people know what they love but they are afraid to go after it. They hold on to a security blanket of a paycheck when their heart is drawing them to something else.
Pursue those loves even if it is just by reading at first. Explore the career you would love to have, gathering the certifications and training until the time is right. When you reach the point that things are aligned, look around.
One of my clients found the career of his dreams within his own company after we uncovered his true love. He had started sharing articles and even writing articles that fit his passion. When his company launched a new initiative, they asked him to lead it and it was a perfect fit!
