When not to ask for LinkedIn Recommendations

Don’t ask people who you have never had any business with or relationship with in the past. I don’t give out recommendations without having a good understanding someone’s work and being able to verify their value. The people I endorsed in the past are trusted friends and colleagues.

This morning I got a request for recommendation from someone I had to Google. I can’t recommend someone I don’t know personally. I am even cautious with endorsements. What about you?
