Is your attitude blocking your success?

When facing a challenging time in his life, a good friend often said, “I’m just putting one foot in front of the other.” Between us, I always knew that meant he was just moving forward with what God had given him for the day.

Is the future frightening you?

When you can’t see the future because of the current battles you are facing, the best solution is to simply put one foot in front of the other. Carry on with your daily projects and stop worrying about what will happen tomorrow.

Is worry taking over?

Are you facing uncertainty because of job loss, relationship troubles, or financial woes? Often all of these mesh together and make your future seem very dim. Your attitude toward these things will make the difference between whether you move past the difficulty or stay stuck there.

The anger factor

Expressing your anger isn’t wrong but taking it out on others, blaming the world or people who care about you, or acting on your anger with violence is wrong. You need to voice your anger and then let it go.

If your attitude is getting in the way on a daily basis and making you paranoid and suspicious of everyone around you, let it go. Just put one foot in front of the other until you get through the day. Perhaps today, your only goal should be just that. One foot in front of the other until you can lay your head down and go to sleep.

Tomorrow you can set a new goal. And sooner or later, life will get easier. Moping, worrying, anger and paranoia will slow down the process.
