Soar like an Eagle in your career!
I’ve thought often about eagles lately. As I watch through my office window, several eagles have flown in the distance recently. One of my clients agreed that we were seeing an eagle not the usual batch of crows who fly by and wander in my back yard.
Eagles are inspiring!
We have a few eagles around here but it still thrills me to see them. Why don’t I feel that same way about crows? My attitude toward crows is never fascination, more of an annoyance.
We are inspired by people who push harder, excel more, go the extra mile, and expand their horizons. Too often, we settle for less. How come? How come we don’t follow our dreams and fly like eagles?
Is it easier to settle for less?
Maybe because it is easier to settle and easier to not keep pushing. We find ourselves bogged down by politics and economic woes and stop searching for the way to soar.
As I’ve been interviewed new clients, the common theme seems to be that they want change from either what they have been doing or where they are doing it.
Often I hear from clients that they want to be recognized for their talents, appreciated for their expertise, and have the opportunity to do their best. In the end, I think they too want the opportunity to soar like an eagle.
