Are you still holding your breath in your job search?

As I was speaking with a client the other day, I mentioned many people are holding their breath in their job search because there is so much uncertainty. She agree and said I had hit the nail on the head even though she really hadn’t thought of it.

If we are all holding our breath in job search and business decisions, it means that there will be no action.

Since I made the leap to put Design Resumes into full motion in December 2009, I haven’t held my breath. If I had, I would guess I wouldn’t be writing to you right now.

I know job seekers and business owners alike who made the tough decisions and moved forward. And guess what? They found success!

Is it bad to be cautious?

It really isn’t bad to be cautious but if everyone is cautious all the time and no one takes any risks at all, nothing will happen. At some point, you have to take the first step and move forward.

Gone through too many years of holding our breath.

Very soon in the United States, the election will be over and we will know who will lead the country for the next four years. No matter what happens, I can guarantee that if everyone holds their breath for the next one year or four years, afraid of what will happen next, nothing will happen.

If you are a leader holding your breath, take action. Get ready and test the waters. Make sure you positioned correctly with the right tools to succeed. Then I think you can stop holding your breath!
